Lambrusco & A Taste of Emilia-Romagna- July 7th, 6:00-8:30

$125.00

Come join us in a beautiful rooftop greenhouse overlooking the entire city for a fun and relaxed “class” all about Lambrusco, the sparkling red wine that we promise you will fall in love with (if you already haven’t). Sommelier Janet Beeby will take us on a journey through this bubbly beauty’s rich history, the art of making it, and the variety of styles it has to offer. We’ll learn about—and snack on—the regional foods of Emilia Romagna where Lambrusco originates; like Mortadella with pistachio pesto, Parmigiano-Reggiano with aged Balsamico and gnocco fritto with Prosciutto di Parma. We’ll then feast on Erbazzone, a savory pie made with local greens alongside a treviso salad and finish off the evening with a Torta Barozzi paired with a dessert lambrusco as we watch the sun set over Seattle. This is the perfect opportunity to go deep into the rich culinary traditions of Italy’s heartland. We can’t wait to share it all with you!

Janet Beeby is a wine educator and a certified sommelier. She’s crazy about wine, about food, and about pairing wine with food. She believes that wine doesn’t have to break the bank to be thoroughly enjoyable. She enjoys writing and teaching about unusual wines and far-flung winemakers, and she’s on a mission to show people how fun and approachable wine can be. Janet is certified through the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. She is also a French and Spanish wine scholar, certified through the Wine Scholar Guild.

*The location for the event is located in Phinney Ridge at 7009 Greenwood Ave N in Seattle. Tickets include food, wine & gratuity and are non refundable. If you are unable to attend, you can transfer the tickets to someone else. In the event there is a wait list and we are able to fill your seat, we will gladly issue a refund.
