PHILEMON Cotes du Tarn Noir 2020

$20.00

The Vieules family organically grows sunflowers, wheat, and grapes on their farm in the northeast corner of the Gaillac appellation in the Southwest of France. Here in sunny Gaillac, cooled by Mediterranean breezes, is perhaps the only place Jurancon Noir can properly ripen. A cross between Folle Blanche and Côt (AKA Malbec), it’s a rambunctious vine, sensitive to temperature and requiring strident pruning.

This fresh red has notes of dark, spicy fruit, a perfume of dried purple flowers and wet earth. Light but also deceptively deep with nice fruit tannins. Serve with a chill.
